Body

We're out in the Lithgow community again this week — and it’s a great time to drop in, ask questions, and learn more about the Lake Lyell Pumped Hydro Project.

This week, we’re shining a light on the economic impacts of the project — including local jobs, investment, and opportunities for the region.

Head of Portfolio Development for EnergyAustralia, Melissa Alcorn steps through what the project means for:

  • Jobs for the Region - expected to create hundreds of jobs during peak construction, with long-term roles during operations.
  • Opportunities for Local Business - local suppliers and contractors could benefit across areas like construction, logistics, accommodation, and site services.
  • Boost to the NSW Economy - by supporting energy stability and investment in clean energy, the project contributes to broader state-wide economic growth.

Have your say online or come and speak directly with the experts who’ve been working on the technical and environmental studies, and find out what the project could mean for your community.
