Lithgow is ideally positioned to become an energy worker hub, growing and housing a workforce that builds and operates new energy projects along the eastern seaboard of Australia.
The multi-billion-dollar Lake Lyell Hydro facility will employ a 500 strong workforce for up to 5 years, growing local skills and supply chains while attracting workers with the potential to settle and base themselves in the Lithgow region.
As an enduring host community, Lake Lyell Hydro will also share energy generation revenue with the Lithgow community to be invested in a wide range of community projects over the 80-year operating life of the asset.
All this, while generating clean energy for over 150,000 households in NSW.
