🎬 Watch the latest video featuring David Wilson, Head of Community Engagement, as he steps through:

  • How consultation has influenced key project decisions
  • Examples of design changes and community-led improvements
  • How the EIS captures and responds to community input
  • What happens next — and how you can continue to have your say

What’s in the EIS?

The EIS includes detailed technical studies, a Consultation Report, and proposed measures to avoid, minimise, or mitigate potential impacts. Some community-driven changes include:

  • Relocating the upper reservoir to reduce visual impacts
  • Proposing an alternative location for worker accommodation
  • Developing a Neighbour Agreement Guide
  • Expanding access to project information via our local HQ, newsletters, and online updates

Have Your Say: Open Now - 30 November 2025

This period is an opportunity for the community to:

  • Review the findings and proposed mitigation strategies
  • Ask questions and request further information
  • Provide feedback that can help inform final planning

You can get involved in a way that suits you — whether online, at our local HQ, or via phone or email.

Energy Australia acknowledges that the site of the proposed Lake Lyell Pumped Hydro project is on the traditional Country of the Wiradjuri People. We recognise their continued connection to land, waterways and community, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.
